I did not start writing because I had everything figured out. I started writing because I had lived through enough to know that the lessons that actually change people are never the theoretical ones. They are the ones you earn by going through something real and coming out the other side with something worth passing on.
I grew up on a farm in Quebec. I hitchhiked through multiple continents. I sat in hospital rooms watching the woman I loved fight cancer while I ate at a food bank and started a business with $34.37 in my bank account. I lost her at 27. I kept going. I built something from nothing, coached over 1,200 people through their own transformations, wrote a book, hosted 450 podcast episodes, and somewhere in all of it I realized that the fitness journey and the life journey are the same journey. You cannot separate them.
That is what this publication is about.
Not six-pack abs. Not punishment disguised as discipline. Not the version of health that makes you miserable getting there and impossible to maintain once you arrive. This is about building a body and a life that compound together over time, so that at 60, at 70, at 80, your body is not the thing holding you back from the life you want to live.
I write for a specific kind of person. You are driven. You want to accomplish things and leave a mark on the world. You take care of the people around you, sometimes at the expense of taking care of yourself. You feel a little bit like the odd one out because you think differently about health and longevity than most people your age. You have tried things before and they worked for a while and then they didn’t, and you are tired of starting over.
You do not need more intensity. You do not need more restriction. You need a sustainable system and someone who has actually lived it, not just studied it, to walk alongside you while you build it.
Every Sunday I write a soul post. One real moment from my week, one earned lesson. No bullet points, no motivational poster energy. Just something true.
Every Saturday I send a newsletter. One idea from my work as a body recomposition coach, written so it stands completely on its own.
If you upgrade to paid, you get a private video every second Wednesday where I go one layer deeper than anything I share publicly, a deep dive written framework every Friday, and a live monthly group call where you can bring your questions directly to me.
The first seven days of every month I go completely offline. No phone, no social, no content. I do this because I believe that rest and reflection are not the opposite of progress. They are part of it.
I do all of this alongside my wife, my partner, my co-founder, and the person who makes this whole thing possible, Ivy. She is in every part of what we are building here, and I do not take that for granted for a single day.
I am not here to be your hype man. I am here to be the person in your corner who tells you the truth, shares what is actually working in his own life right now, and believes without any doubt that the second half of your life can be the strongest, most intentional chapter you have ever lived.
I am glad you found this place.
Sincerely,
Maxime
