I can’t believe that in 7 days from now I will be flying to Asia for the first time in my life, and that we are going to spend three months out there visiting the Philippines, Japan, Korea, Singapore, etc.
This past week has been hectic and stressful, to say the least.
I am finalizing projects and putting systems in place to account for Ivy and me being in a 16-hour time difference with our team in less than one week.
I received 300+ copies of my book that I get to sign to send to all you beautiful people who pre-ordered a copy of my first-ever book, Forever Fit. This will probably take me a full day to sign, which is a great problem to have.
Plus, this week my fire for working out came back. As you know from last week’s newsletter, I was a bit in a slump and unmotivated to work out. I still did because it’s a part of my life, but it didn’t feel the same.
After a relaxing weekend and a slight adjustment to my schedule, I felt that fire back inside. I had some solid training sessions, and I also made a change in how I create my workouts. I had taken that task over post-concussion because I knew I needed to build myself back up post-injury, including an ankle injury, from my basketball scouting event.
So I hired Coach Nick, one of our incredible Mavy Wellness coaches, to take over my workouts for Ivy and me. I’m excited to start that next week with a test week to see my starting point for strength and explosiveness since my injuries.
Honestly, as I’m writing all of this, I am realizing that this is what consistency looks like.

I always try to simplify a lot of concepts for the blogs that I write or videos that I record. But sometimes just sharing what is going on every week can demonstrate perfectly what consistency compounding means.
If you’ve read some of my past newsletters, there are ups and downs in trying to create the biggest and best plant-based body recomposition coaching program in the world.
And most importantly, being able to fulfill our mission of impacting 10,000 people to get lean, thrive, and reduce their risk of dealing with chronic illness by 2033, and 1 million by 2050.
But that is the beauty of it. Amidst all the fluctuations of life and challenges that arise, there are areas of my life that go up and some that suffer a little bit.
Some weeks I’m motivated to work out, some weeks I’m not. Some weeks I want to go to bed early, and some weeks I want to stay up to watch TV.
Some weeks I want to eat clean 100% of the time and don’t have any cravings, and some weeks I have more cravings than others.
But in the middle of all that, I still show up. If I miss a workout, I focus on winning the next one. If I indulge in food that wasn’t the best, I don’t beat myself up and I focus on winning the next meal. If I watch TV too late and get a bad night of sleep, I focus on winning the next night of sleep.
I always focus on winning the next moment and opportunity because that is the fastest path to getting back on track.
I know it’s January and people are really excited about New Year’s resolutions, and that a ton of people already gave up on their fitness goals for the year. I can see it by how much less busy the gym I go to is.
But I don’t want that for any of you.
I want you to succeed. I want you to have that fit and healthy body you want so that you can have the most solid foundation to live YOUR best life.
It’s not just about being 20 lbs lighter on the scale or going from a size 12 to an 8. It’s not just about looking good in a bathing suit. It’s about what it does to build your character. It’s about how it internally transforms you to go for the things that you want for your life.
It teaches you to speak up when you would normally stay quiet. It teaches you to set boundaries and reinforce them when people overstep them, because you train people how you want to be treated.
It teaches you to go for the things that you ACTUALLY want out of life.
It makes you take life by the horns and enjoy the wild, beautiful ride that it can be.
It teaches you to love yourself enough to allow yourself to be happy and to understand that it’s okay for you to go for the things that you want.
That’s how I try to live my life every single day. It’s not perfect every day, but I try.
And if you’ve been following me long enough, you can see that it’s true.
I literally can’t believe that I have a book coming out in less than 48 hours. That is something I dreamed of as a kid, and now it’s happening.
I honestly owe my whole life to fitness, health, and transformation because it built the character and the man I am today.
That is why I love teaching it so much, because I’ve seen its powerful effects amongst our members.
Once you do the thing that you say you are going to do, like exercise and build a healthier and fitter body, a whole new world of possibilities opens up. So many people are stuck on level one of this journey, which is having the fitness and body they want, and they stay stuck there their whole life.
See it as your initiation, your cost of entry. Once you accomplish that, then you get to go to a different level, and the game of life becomes a lot more fun. I promise you.
I hope this resonated with some of you. I don’t prepare ahead of time what I’m going to write in these newsletters. I just focus on getting out of my head and into my heart. I ask God to serve, and whatever gets typed out on my computer is what gets typed out.
So I hope it serves some of you on this journey, and if you made it this far in the newsletter, I want to say a massive thank you for being such a loyal reader.
If you are one of these people, I’d love to hear from you at maxime@mavywellness.com. I’d love to connect with you.
I hope you have an incredible weekend and that you make a decision that will change your life for the best ❤️
Sincerely, Maxime Sigouin
