You are the creator of your own journey.
The beauty of being human is that we have the ability to dream and take action towards the life that we want. We have the ability to control what we can control and choose how we want to deal with what we can’t control.
Last night I had my bi-monthly call with my own personal Tony Robbins Coach that I have been working with for the past 4 + years. I hired him because I knew I had big dreams and that I needed to build a solid team around me to help me get there.
He helps to hold me accountable and helps me with my own mindset work through the up’s and the down’s of this mission that I am on of serving 10,000 people to get lean, thrive and reduce their risk of dealing with chronic illness by 2033 and 1 million by 2050 through whole food plant-based eating and exercise.
Last night we had a call were we talked more about personal stuff versus company stuff. But I told him, “I DID IT”
I’ve arrived at the life I’ve always wanted, the life I had been dreaming off since I was a little kid.
This three month trip that Ivy and I are on is the culmination of my entire lifetime so far.
I’m fit, healthy, traveling the world with the love of my life all while impacting the life of our members and progressing on our mission that I listed above.
I work for myself and I have the most incredible team at Mavy Wellness that allows me to run the company while being in a different country (The remote part we’ve always had).
My book just came out only 4 weeks ago. We managed to become a bestselling author in four different categories on Amazon.
And right now we’ve been almost four weeks in the Philippines visiting some of the most unreal places I’ve ever seen and we are about to start hopping countries for the next 8 weeks between various South Asian countries.
Now please don’t take what I’m sharing the wrong way as it does feel weird to share these “wins” to thousands of you guys, I’m sharing this as an example of what is possible when you set your mind to something, that you consciously create what you want your life to look like.
It did take me 20 + years since I first set that goal.
And there is no limit to that, as you get older, enter different chapters of life, those goals will change but remember that you are still a creator.
You could be 50 years old right now heading towards the traditional western path and becoming a statistic of being on track to die at 78-79 years old or you can be inspired by one of our members Pam for example who is 87 years YOUNG, vibrant and strong (I shared her success story podcast interview on my Youtube channel).
And want to have a completely different outcome for your life out of that inspiration. You may have never strength trained in your life but because of a recent osteopenia diagnosis you decide to take charge and that you want a future where your bones aren’t fragile, where you do have muscles to go on kayaking trips with your kids and grand-kids.
The difference between dreamers and those who actually get to live it is four things:
Simply starting
Taking imperfect action
A willingness and openness to learn and adapt as you go along
Understanding that if you don’t quit you can’t fail (Forget the timeline)
If you can do these four things you will get to where you want to.
Whether that is losing 40 lbs, reversing a chronic illness, building muscle at 80+, becoming a runner or completely revamping your life.
Now I hope this makes sense to you. And for those of you who are still sitting on the fence, let me be straight with you in a way that actually respects your intelligence: you are more capable than you are giving yourself credit for. We have helped nearly 1,200 people from 20 different countries, people recovering from surgery, battling chronic illness, coming back from cancer, and every single one of them thought their situation was the exception. It never was.
One belief I hold deeply is that there is always someone in the world in a worse position than me who is accomplishing more than me. That means if they can do it, I can do it. And so can you. I heard about a motivational speaker named Nick Vujicic about 15 years ago. He was born with tetra-amelia syndrome, meaning he has no arms and no legs. And he built an incredible life for himself: he got married, had kids, learned how to swim, built successful businesses, and wrote books. If he could build that life from that starting point, you can lose 20 pounds. You can start exercising for the first time at 60. I genuinely believe that, and I make no apologies for it.
You are the creator of your own health, your body, your life. You may not control everything that has happened to you, but you absolutely control how you respond to it. And that response is what determines everything.
Choose to be a CREATOR over a VICTIM. That shift alone will change your life.
I say this from experience. I had years where I played the victim. My partner was battling cancer, the bills were crushing, the stress was relentless. I showed up as a caregiver on the outside but carried a victim mindset on the inside. I was stuck. It wasn’t until I took full ownership of my life that everything changed. I got tired of waiting to be saved. I decided to save myself, build a team around me, and move forward. And as I progressed, I brought those people with me.
